Category Reorganization
We're in the process of doing a little reorganization in some of the categories. We've opened up 'For the Home' and have moved Appliances and Home Decor (as well as Home Decor's sub-categories) to be under it. We will soon be moving Tableware & Kitchenware to also be under 'For the Home'. We hope this will provide for a more logical browsing experience.

Adobe Announces Security Issue With Flash Player
Adobe has announced a security issue with the current version of the Flash Player:

It's important to note that while shopgoodwill.com does use flash to display images, it is not displaying any content that could potentially harm your computer. We are urging our customers to follow the steps provided in the above press release, to better protect yourself from possible harm that might be done to you by visiting untrusted websites that could be exploiting this vulnerability.
Your online safety is a concern for us, to that end, we will be rolling out a change to the way we display flash images to help you make certain you are using the latest and safest version of Adobe's Flash Player. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Category Changes
The Figurines and Collector Plates main categories have been repositioned as sub-categories under the Collectibles main category, and the Collectibles>Beanie Babies sub-category has been changed to Collectibles>Plush Toys. Each day, Goodwill store operators carefully sort through all donated items to identify and remove products that have been recalled by the CPSC and other potentially dangerous items. As an additional safety measure, store employees frequently spot check the shelves and remove items that may have slipped through the screeners. This same attention to safety is applied to items sold on shopgoodwill.com. By following the latest CPSC guidelines, recently distributed in response to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), Goodwill is taking positive steps to ensure the safety of you our customer. New Security Enhancement
To help keep shopgoodwill.com a safe and fun place for you to shop, we have recently changed the way in which buyerIDs are displayed on the site. Now, only you and the seller of the item will be able to see your BuyerID when you bid on an item. To all other bidders, your BuyerID will appear in an anonymous format such as a*****n. This new method of displaying buyerIDs increases the privacy of our bidders, helps keep the shopgoodwill.com community safe, and protects you from receiving fraudulent emails. Quick Links Added
We have added a "Quick Link" navigation tool to near the top of shopgoodwill.com. When logged in this tool will allow you to jump straight to frequently used pages. Additionaly a quick link is there for each of your Watch List items, this will allow you to navigate directly to them without going to the Watch List page first.

Bid Confirmation Email Preferences
You can now choose to not receive certain notifications by email. These include: bid confirmation, out-bid confirmation and item shipped notification. If you'd like to change your preferences please visit the Buyer/Contact Information tab on your My shopgoodwill page.
